Characteristic
Red ginger has small layered rhizomes with a very sharp aroma and is colored between light orange to red. Diameter 4 - 4.5 cm, rhizome height 5 - 11 cm and length about 12 - 13 cm. The color of the leaves is light green with a reddish green stem color. Has an essential oil content of 2.8 - 3.9%.
